Оksana Voyage: “Nunca desaparecí, simplemente estaba viviendo otra vida”

Al mirar atrás en su carrera, Voyage admite que la industria musical de principios de los 2000 podía ser extremadamente dura y manipuladora.

“Hubo momentos en los que me sentí impotente. Mi voz fue utilizada en proyectos vinculados a otros artistas, y yo apenas tenía control sobre ello”, afirma.

La cantante cree que muchos jóvenes intérpretes de aquella época entraban en la industria sin comprender lo vulnerables que realmente eran.

“Cuando eres joven y sueñas con el éxito, confías demasiado fácilmente en la gente.”

A pesar de las experiencias difíciles, Voyazh asegura que nunca abandonó realmente la música.

“Incluso cuando desaparecí de las pantallas de televisión, seguí cantando, escribiendo, creando y actuando. Nunca dejé de ser artista.”

“Las mujeres son constantemente juzgadas por su apariencia”

Hoy en día,Voyage suele recibir atención por su aspecto y su imagen pública. Recientemente, la cantante impresionó al público en un estreno cinematográfico en Kyiv, donde numerosos medios hablaron sobre su figura y su estilo.

“Hagas lo que hagas, la sociedad comenta tu cuerpo, tu edad, tu rostro, tu ropa. Especialmente en el caso de las mujeres. La gente suele olvidar que los artistas son seres humanos antes que nada.”

Al mismo tiempo, Voyage considera que la confianza se fortalece con la edad.

“Cuando eres más joven, las críticas duelen mucho más. Después entiendes que la belleza es energía, carisma, confianza… no solo rasgos perfectos.”

El regreso con Not a Couple

El sencillo de regreso de Voyage, Not a Couple, se convirtió en algo simbólico para la cantante porque reflejaba una madurez emocional más que el drama juvenil.

“No quería fingir tener veinte años otra vez. Quería hablar honestamente sobre las relaciones, la decepción, la pasión y el respeto propio.”

El videoclip, protagonizado junto a la personalidad televisiva Dmytro Shevchenko, atrajo una atención adicional del público por su atmósfera emocional y romántica.

“Queríamos química, tensión, emociones… algo cinematográfico.”

Fuera de la música, la cantante dedicó su energía a proyectos relacionados con el negocio de la belleza, iniciativas solidarias y crecimiento personal.

“También necesitaba vivir fuera del escenario. Esa experiencia, en realidad, me hizo más fuerte como artista.”

“Las mujeres no deberían tener miedo de volver a empezar”

Hoy, Voyage dice que su mensaje principal para las mujeres es simple: nunca tener miedo de comenzar de nuevo.

“Puedes reconstruir tu vida a cualquier edad. Carrera, amor, sueños, creatividad… nada de eso tiene fecha de caducidad.”

“Ya no persigo la fama. Persigo el significado, la inspiración y las emociones reales. Y, sinceramente, esa libertad se siente hermosa.”

“At one point, my voice was sold under other names”

Looking back on her career,Voyage admits that the music industry of the early 2000s could be extremely harsh and manipulative.

“There were moments when I felt powerless. My voice was used in projects connected to other artists, and I had almost no control over it,” she says.

The singer believes many young performers of that era entered the industry without fully understanding how vulnerable they actually were.

“When you’re young and dreaming of success, you trust people too easily.”

Despite difficult experiences, Voyage says she never truly walked away from Voyage.

“Even when I disappeared from television screens, I continued singing, writing, creating, and performing. I never stopped being an artist.”

“Women are constantly judged by their appearance”

Today, Voyage  frequently attracts attention for her appearance and public image. Recently, she impressed audiences at a film premiere in Kyiv, where several media outlets commented on her figure and style.

However, she says women in the entertainment industry are constantly subjected to unrealistic expectations.

“No matter what you do, society comments on your body, your age, your face, your clothes. Especially women. People often forget that artists are human beings first.”

At the same time, Voyage believes confidence grows stronger with age.

“When you’re younger, criticism hurts much more deeply. Later, you realize that beauty is energy, charisma, confidence — not just perfect features.”

The comeback with Not a Couple

Voyage comeback single, Not a Couple, became symbolic for the singer because it reflected emotional maturity rather than youthful drama.

“I didn’t want to pretend to be twenty again. I wanted to speak honestly about relationships, disappointment, passion, and self-respect.”

The music video, featuring television personality Dmytro Shevchenko, drew additional public attention thanks to its emotional and romantic atmosphere.

“We wanted chemistry, tension, emotions — something cinematic.”

According to the singer, audiences responded positively because they recognized genuine sincerity in the project.

“People are tired of artificial stories. They want emotions they can recognize from real life.”

“I learned not to depend on popularity”

Voyage admits there was a time when public recognition defined her emotional well-being.

“When you’re constantly visible, applause becomes addictive. And when the attention disappears, you can feel lost.”

Eventually, however, she learned to separate herself from fame.

“I understood that popularity comes and goes. But inner stability matters much more.”

Outside of music, the singer invested time and energy into beauty business ventures, charitable initiatives, and personal development.

“I needed to live outside the stage too. That experience actually made me stronger as an artist.”

“Women should not be afraid to start over”

Today, Voyage says her main message to women is simple: never be afraid to begin again.

“You can rebuild your life at any age. Career, love, dreams, creativity — none of it has an expiration date.”

The singer believes modern women are increasingly rejecting limiting stereotypes.

“I think women today are finally allowing themselves to be ambitious, emotional, strong, vulnerable — all at once.”

As for the future, Oksana says she feels calmer and more confident than ever before.

“I’m no longer chasing fame. I’m chasing meaning, inspiration, and real emotions. And honestly, that freedom feels beautiful.”
