Sally C taps Peach & CARISTA to remix Cromby’s ‘House Flava’

Sally C’s musical baby, Big Saldo’s Chunkers, continues to grow. Following the debut of British producer Papa Nugs and last year’s collaboration, “DR Pleasure,” with Eliza Rose, which is still in development, the label expands Chunkers’ sonic palette to share two futuristic remixes of Cromby’s classic, “House Flava,” by Peach and CARISTA.
The track was a highlight of summer 2024 and epitomized Cromby’s special touch in the studio. It was nominated for Song of the Year by DJ Mag, received great support on BBC Radio 1, and was a reference for countless artists, including Job Jobse, Chloe Caillet, NIKS, Moxie, and Midland, among many others.
For Cromby, me, and all our friends, “House Flava” was the soundtrack to almost all of 2024. As soon as Chris made it, he sent it to me, and we instantly knew it belonged on the label. It was a resounding success. The album came out late last summer, so we spiced it up with a couple of amazing remixes from two of our favorite artists ahead of summer 2025. “I’m obsessed with both remixes and can’t stop listening to them,” says Sally.
Canadian selector Peach, a huge advocate of the original, brings a psychedelic energy to her remix of “House Flava.” Stripped down, powerful, and full of low-end swing, this is a tech house classic, with plenty of woozy, tribal energy. “There’s only one Peach; her energy, uniqueness, and skill both on the decks and in her productions are unmatched. She’s delivered a super sexy and vibrant version of the original that melts in your ears and resonates through your speakers.”
Dutch powerhouse CARISTA is up next on the remix plate. The United Identities label boss takes the track into haunting after-hours territory, with a dynamic cut marked by subterranean bass and a sinister solo, while retaining sections of the original vocals. Perfect for those long sessions when things get a little weird. “CARISTA is a real powerhouse. Her productions are hard-hitting, drum- and acid-centric bangers with an elegant simplicity that we love at Chunkers. Her remix is just that: the heavy chunk has arrived!” says Sally.

They’re good people, and two amazing DJs and producers. When Sally C asked me to remix this hit, I jumped at the chance. Tras el debut del productor británico Papa Nugs y la colaboración del año pasado, «DR Pleasure», con Eliza Rose, que aún está en desarrollo, el sello amplía la paleta sonora de Chunkers para compartir dos remixes futuristas del clásico de Cromby, «House Flava», de Peach y CARISTA.
El tema fue un hito del verano de 2024 y personificó el toque especial de Cromby en el estudio. Fue nominado a Canción del Año por DJ Mag, tuvo un gran apoyo en BBC Radio 1 y fue una referencia para innumerables artistas, como Job Jobse, Chloe Caillet, NIKS, Moxie y Midland, entre muchos otros.
Para Cromby, para mí y para todos nuestros amigos, ‘House Flava’ fue la banda sonora de casi todo 2024. En cuanto Chris lo hizo, me lo envió y supimos al instante que pertenecía al sello. La poderosa artista holandesa CARISTA es la siguiente en encargarse de la remezcla. Following a fresh debut from UK producer Papa Nugs and last year’s collab ‘DR Pleasure’ with Eliza Rose that’s still getting rinsed, the label broadens the Chunkers sound palette to share two future-facing remixing of Cromby’s classic ‘House Flava’ from Peach and CARISTA.

“For myself and Cromby, plus all our friends – ‘House Flava’ soundtracked pretty much all of 2024. As soon as Chris made it, he sent it to me and we immediately knew it belonged on the label. It was a Chunker. The record came out at the end of last summer, so we spiced it up with a couple of insane remixes from two of our favourite artists ahead of Summer 2025. I’m obsessed with both remixes and can’t stop playing them,” shares Sally.
A big supporter of the original, Canadian selector Peach brings bags of trippy energy to her ‘House Flava’ remix. Stripped back, pumping and full of low-end swing, this is simultaneously a classic tech house roller, that packs plenty of woozy tribal energy. “There is only one Peach, her energy, quirkiness and skills behind the decks and in her productions are unmatched. She’s taken a super sexy rolling take on the original which melts into your ears and out of the speakers.”
