Tinlicker y Hero Baldwin colaboran en el emotivo sencillo “I Started a Fire”

Los gigantes holandeses de la electrónica y artistas en vivo Tinlicker lanzan su nuevo sencillo «I Started A Fire», con la colaboración del productor londinense Hero Baldwin, ya disponible en Remember The Future/[PIAS]. La capacidad del dúo para conectar emocionalmente con sus colaboradores y su público, magníficamente demostrada en su aclamado último álbum «Cold Enough For Snow», los ha convertido en una fuerza creativa.

Su sonido característico combina elementos melódicos con voces conmovedoras, letras evocadoras, una guitarra indie conmovedora y toques orquestales para crear música bailable y escuchable. Además de su inigualable catálogo de lanzamientos, Tinlicker ha producido remixes exitosos para alt-J, deadmau5, Kosheen… Con el apoyo de medios como Billboard, DJ Mag, BBC Radio 1 y SiriusXM, continúan redefiniendo la música electrónica. «I Started A Fire»: la voz dulce y anhelante inicia su clara y conmovedora interpretación de la emotiva letra, acompañada de evocadores pares de acordes de piano. El ritmo entrecortado y la vibrante percusión aportan contraste y bailabilidad, mientras que los acordes sostenidos, similares a los de una trompeta, dan fondo a la melodía.

Hero Baldwin afirma: «Esta canción habla de la pérdida de confianza y amor, de alguien que te observa desmoronarse solo para proteger su propio orgullo. Trabajando con Jordi y Micha, parecen extraer algo de mí que resuena con mi panorama emocional cada vez que creamos una canción. Creo que es fundamental sentirse seguro creativa y emocionalmente, y Jordi y Micha siempre me conceden ese privilegio».

El nuevo sencillo anuncia los conciertos de Tinlicker en Coachella en abril, marcando el inicio de su prestigiosa gira por festivales europeos y norteamericanos, que también incluye Paaspop NL, Lightning in a Bottle US, Brooklyn Mirage NYC y Live In The Park de Londres (lista completa a continuación).

Dutch electronic giants and live artists Tinlicker release their new single ‘I Started A Fire’ featuring London-based producer Hero Baldwin, out now on Remember The Future/[PIAS]. The duo’s ability to connect emotionally with their collaborators as well as their audiences, beautifully showcased on their acclaimed last album ‘Cold Enough For Snow’, has made them a creative force.

Their signature sound weaves melodic elements with soulful vocals, evocative lyrics, heart-felt indie guitar and orchestral strands into danceable as well as listenable music. As well as their peerless catalogue of releases, Tinlicker have produced successful remixes for alt-J, deadmau5, Kosheen… With support from the likes of Billboard, DJ Mag, BBC Radio 1, SiriusXM, they continue to redefine electronic music.

‘I Started A Fire’: the yearning, sweet vocal begins its clear and heart-stirring singing of the emotional lyrics supported by evocative piano chord pairs, before the breaksy beat and lively percussion provide a contrast and danceability and sustained, horn-like chords supply background melody to the song.

Says Hero Baldwin: ‘This song is about the loss of trust and love, about someone who stands by and watches you fall apart just to protect their own pride. Working with Jordi and Micha, they seem to pull something out of me that resonates with my emotional landscape every time we make a song. I think it’s so important to feel creatively and emotionally secure and Jordi and Micha always afford me that privilege.’  

The new single heralds Tinlicker’s April Coachella shows, marking the start of their prestigious European & North American festival run which also includes Paaspop NL, Lightning in a Bottle US, Brooklyn Mirage NYC, and London’s Live In The Park (full list below).
